About Castle Bakery
Our Story
At Castle Bakery, we bake everything from scratch every time. It is homemade and delicious. I enjoyed baking cookies when I was growing up, but never thought of having a bakery until someone suggested it in 2006. In 2009 I went to the Art Institute and graduated with a baking and Pastry degree. During one of the classes, I had to come up with the business plan, including choosing a name. I chose Castle Bakery as the name. In 2022, I took a Supernatural Entrepreneurship class with Kingdom Academy. During that class, I had to again price out how much it would cost to start my bakery. I also had to come up with a logo, and I came up with the one on here. It looked impossible at first, but not for long. After the class ended, I realized that I could start it for way less by starting at a farmer's market. I had almost everything I needed in a couple weeks, but then didn't get accepted at the one I tried because there were too many vendors in my category. In January 2023, I felt like I was supposed to try again. This time, I was accepted and started later that month. January 28, 2023 was my first day as Castle Bakery being a vendor. I stayed in that location for almost a year. After having to move at the beginning of January 2024, I quickly became a vendor at Peach Street Farmer's Market, and Lake Jackson Farmer's Market.
